The Watch
Made for Every Side of You. Mixtus is the all-rounder — a modular watch designed so that one timepiece covers the full range of how a day actually unfolds. It is not a compromise between styles. It is the system working at full capacity.
One Watch. Wherever the Day Takes You. The frustration that started Christopher Butendorff was simple: a watch should adapt to the person, not the other way around. Mixtus is the clearest expression of that conviction. One watch head, three strap materials — leather for formality, PVC for activity, Nato for heritage — each swapped by hand in seconds. Time should never limit your style. Your watch should not either.
Swiss Made. Built for Versatility. Each Mixtus is Swiss Made, powered by a Ronda 702 movement, and finished with K1 sapphire-coated glass. The case is available in 36mm and 42mm with a 20mm band width. Three straps come included — metal and leather — selected to cover the widest range of occasions from a single watch. Every piece is individually numbered and produced in small batches in Switzerland, arriving with a certificate of authenticity and a 24-month international warranty. Nine to twelve months is the production time. That is how long Swiss made-to-order takes.
Three Expressions. One Timepiece. Mixtus is the modular system at its most versatile. The watch head separates from any strap without tools, and the three included designs are only the beginning — every compatible 20mm strap in the collection fits. A meeting in metal, a dinner in leather, a weekend in metal mesh. The watch stays the same. The strap changes. That is the entire point.
Make Mixtus Your Own. Mixtus is made to order and individually numbered — created for those who refuse to let one style define them. From business to movement to the weekend, three distinct expressions give one timepiece the versatility to follow wherever the day leads.
Choose the expression that fits the moment. Change it when the moment changes. Keep the timepiece at the centre of them all.

Manufacturing & Delivery
Made to order in Switzerland
Every Christopher Butendorff watch is made to order and produced in Switzerland. From the moment your order is confirmed, production takes approximately 9 to 12 months.
That timeline is deliberate. Each watch is handmade, assembled, and quality-checked by Swiss watchmakers, then finished and individually numbered as part of a limited edition. We produce in small batches rather than at scale — the process is closer to commissioning a piece than buying one off a shelf.
What happens in that time:
- Case machining, finishing, and assembly
- Movement installation and regulation
- Hand assembly and quality control
- Individual numbering and certificate preparation
When your watch is ready, it ships with a certificate of authenticity and a 24-month international warranty covering manufacturing defects.
Returns: Unused watches in original condition and packaging may be returned within 30 days. Because each piece is made to order, we encourage you to reach out with any questions before purchasing.
Frequently Asked Questions
What makes Mixtus different from Mixta?
Mixtus is the 36/42mm unisex all-rounder with leather, PVC, and Nato straps at 20mm band width. Mixta is the 24/36mm women's collection with mixed materials — leather, PVC, and metal link — where the 24mm case uses 12mm straps and the 36mm case uses 20mm straps. Different sizes, different materials, different audiences — the modular system connects them. Both come in round and square.
How do I change straps on Mixtus?
By hand, without tools. The modular system releases the watch head from the strap, and a new strap clicks into place.
What do the case sizes refer to?
The numbers — 24mm, 36mm, and 42mm — refer to the watch head (the case that holds the dial and movement), not to wrist size. These are the available case sizes across the collection. A smaller case offers a more understated presence on the wrist; a larger case makes a stronger statement. Choose the case size that matches how you want the watch to look and wear. Mixtus is available in 36mm and 42mm.

Everything you need to know
Christopher Butendorff is designed around freedom of choice. Choose the timepiece that feels like you, then pair it with different straps to suit the moment — from training and travel to meetings and evenings out.
How does the Christopher Butendorff concept work?
Start by choosing your timepiece — the shape, size and finish you prefer. Then select the straps that fit your style and lifestyle. The interchangeable design lets you create different looks around the same watch.
Can I change the strap myself?
Yes. The system is designed to make switching straps quick and intuitive, allowing you to change the character of your watch whenever you want.
Do I need any tools to change the strap?
No specialist watchmaking tools are needed. The interchangeable system is designed for everyday use, so you can move from one look to another with ease.
Can I use several straps with the same watch?
Absolutely. That is the idea. Build a collection of straps and switch between them depending on your outfit, activity or occasion.
Which size should I choose?
As a general guide: 24mm suits smaller wrists and those who prefer a delicate, understated profile. 36mm is a versatile size that works well on most wrists. 42mm suits larger wrists or those who prefer a more prominent dial. The best guide is your own preference — watch sizing is personal.
Can I add more straps later?
Of course. Your watch is designed to evolve with you. Start with the combination you love today and add new straps whenever you want a different expression.
